LED is an efficient light-emitting diode device. It must work in a constant DC current environment to continuously and steadily emit bright light and illuminate the world. The quality of driving power will directly affect its luminance and quality. How to choose a good driving power supply for LED filament is the key to manufacture LED filament lamp with good cost performance.
At present, there are three kinds of driving power supply for LED filament lamp:
First, the impedance-capacitance voltage-reducing power supply which will be eliminated soon.
Secondly, the mainstream non-isolating switch constant current drive power supply;
Third, a new high-voltage linear constant-current drive power supply.
At present, the main products of LED filament lamp are C35 candle lamp and A60 bulb lamp, which have very narrow space to install driving power supply.
In the early stage of development of LED filament lamp, only a ring plastic part is added between the glass bulb and the lamp head to expand the space that can accommodate the power supply module. With the advent of a new generation of special driving power chip for LED filament lamp, many necessary protective functions of LED driving power supply are concentrated into the chip, their application circuit is more concise, and the parts around the application circuit are more scarce, so they are produced. Nowadays, the new generation of driver power chips and solutions with smaller occupancy space can meet the requirements of filament lamp without plastic parts.
Currently, the grid voltage varies from country to country. Many countries have two different grid voltages at the same time. For example, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Brazil, Vietnam and so on. The grid voltage ranges from AC100V to 240V, which requires the filament lamp power supply to be suitable for the input voltage of AC100V-240V.
The basic requirement of filament lamp's working voltage and current is DC150V/10-30mA, so the power supply will be designed into three different modes: boost (input AC90-130V), buck (input AC180-265V), automatic boost-buck (input AC90-265V) according to different input voltage range to adapt to different grid voltage.
Conventional parameters of driving power supply for mainstream products of filament lamp:
1. Candle lamp power: 2W, 3W, 4W; output voltage is DC150V, output current is 10-12mA, 14-15mA, 20-22mA;
2. Power of bulb lamp: 2W, 4W, 6W, 8W; output voltage is DC150V, output current is 10-12mA, 22-24mA, 33-36mA, 44-48mA.
