Recently, news that Osram appointed Dieter May as Osram Opto Semiconductors (Osram Semiconductors) business unit new CEO.
Dieter May is senior vice President of digital services and business models at BMW Group.
Following his departure from osram, Aldo Kamper, former CEO of osram optoelectronics, became CEO of German company Leoni AG in August 2018.
May will take over Aldo Kamper's work and lead osram's LED department from May 1, 2019.
May's experience in cloud-based digital consumer services, digital transformation and semiconductor business fits with osram's new positioning as a high-tech company.
According to Olaf Berlien, CEO of osram, Dieter May is an internationally experienced manager with strong customer orientation and semiconductor expertise.
May has built the digital services and business models division for BMW since 2014 as a senior vice President.
